Successful Handover of the NUFC Training Ground
Quality Cleaning Company Ltd was pleased to support Robertson Construction by delivering the final clean of the new gym area for Newcastle United’s Training Ground last month. The project involved cleaning a range of newly completed training and player facilities ahead of the next stage of development.
With a mixture of large open spaces, specialist training areas, changing facilities, and high-level features, the project required a thorough and carefully coordinated approach from our team.
Project Overview
The final clean covered a number of areas across the training ground, including the gym, altitude and studio rooms, changing areas, player showers, and other internal spaces. Our team worked across low and high-level areas to remove construction dust and residue to bring the newly completed spaces up to the standard it deserved.

- Internal window and glazing cleaning
- Specialist floor cleaning
- High-level cleaning of the skylights, air conditioning units, and cable trays
- External window cleaning
- External cladding cleaning
- A final clean to the gym, studio, showers and WC’s, and changing areas
The Challenge:
The project included a range of specialist spaces and high-level areas throughout the training ground, requiring our team to use different cleaning methods and specialist access equipment.
Within the gym and training areas, high-level cleaning included the internal skylights, cable trays, and air conditioning units, all of which required safe and efficient access from a scissor lift.
Alongside the high-level internal cleaning, the team also completed meticulous work across the changing areas, player facilities, and other internal spaces before moving on to the external windows and cladding.
The variety of areas and cleaning requirements meant the project required a carefully planned and adaptable approach to ensure each area was completed to the highest standard.
Our Approach
Working closely with Robertson Construction, our team coordinated the cleaning program across the various areas of the training ground.
To meet project requirements we:
- Used a scissor lift to safely access high-level areas
- Cleaned internal skylights within the gym
- Damp wiped high-level cable trays and air conditioning units
- Machine cleaned flooring within the gym and training areas
- Carried out detailed internal glazing and frame cleaning
- Cleaned changing areas and lockers
- Thoroughly cleaned and sanitised player shower and WC areas
- Cleaned external windows using appropriate access equipment
- Used a reach and wash system with pure water to clean external cladding
- Conducted quality checks throughout the cleaning program
- Maintained communication with site management throughout the works
This combination of specialist high-level cleaning and detailed finishing work allowed our team to cover the full range of cleaning requirements across the training ground.
The Result
The final cleaning package was successfully completed in line with the project requirements. Our team delivered a comprehensive final clean across the development, from detailed internal cleaning and specialist floor care to high-level work and external glazing and cladding.
